Why do humans travel?

Travelling sets humans apart from all other species on the planet. The desire to experience different cultures and see new things motivates us to spend our hard earned money in order to achieve that. Many people believe that travelling and globe trotting enables you to become more aware of the world and its relevance as a globalized community. Travelling also helps us to identify with more people and to network with people all over the world. These connections can make business and even future travelling far easier.

The desire to see new places around the world can also entice people to make changes to their lives in regards to retiring in their favorite destination. Travelling across great distances in a relatively short amount of time is made possible everyday by the innovations of modern flight. All humans desire to travel, but the distance they wish to travel varies among individuals. Some people travel only as far as the borders of their respective country, while others choose to navigate each continent around the globe. Travelling and the need to travel is what sets human beings apart from animals.
